DENTAL technology

Dentistry has come a long way in making treatments more precise and comfortable. With today's technology, dentists are better equipped to perform procedures with maximum comfort. In SmileBay, our team constantly keeps our eyes on new technologies to provide our patients with leading edge dental treatment that can be performed in a more efficient, effective, comfortable manner.

CEREC
CEREC Omnicam
CEREC Omnicam

The proven CEREC Omnicam is a viable alternative to the new CEREC Primescan high-performance scanner. CEREC Omnicam is still among the smallest available scanners on the market. That makes it particularly comfortable to handle; it scans without powder and in color. CEREC Omnicam has won over users worldwide since 2012 and is always up to date with continuous software updates. CEREC Omnicam is the best-selling intraoral scanner of all time and is used for more than 7 million impressions per year.

CEREC MC XL

The CEREC grinding and milling units and the CEREC software are optimally synchronized to generate excellent, long-lasting results within just a few minutes. The production of the restoration design is extremely precise, the surfaces and edges are smooth, and the fissures are very fine. Our grinding and milling units are also capable of dry milling.

The restoration can be sintered right away, without any drying time. This makes restorations with full-contour zirconium oxide even faster.

CEREC SpeedFire

CEREC SpeedFire is the smallest and fastest sintering furnace available; it typically sinters a crown within 10–15 minutes. This means you can take advantage of the benefits of full-contour zirconium oxide during chairside treatments. If desired, a glaze can
be applied with CEREC SpeedGlaze, which can be fired in just a few minutes in the CEREC SpeedFire. Then the restoration is ready to be set.

Zirkonzahn CAD CAM Machine
Zirkonzahn CAD CAM Machine
Zirkonzahn CAD CAM Machine

Zirkonzahn® is the only manufacturer of Prettau® zirconia, and has multiple branches around the globe. Zirkonzahn®’s Prettau® system is the only system with a proven five-year record of 100% success. This success rate has been carefully documented in a study published by the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants.

Zirkonzahn®'s unique, time-proven system consists of:

  • Dedicated milling machines

  • Dedicated white laser scanners

  • Dedicated sintering ovens

  • Proven zirconia stains

  • Proven porcelains and stains

These sophisticated devices eliminate any room for error that might exist during the manufacturing process of other bridge systems. Zirkonzahn®’s large-format milling machine, for example, is built specifically for full arches, unlike smaller machines used in most local labs. Additionally, using the wrong stain or glaze could inadvertently weaken the zirconia. Choosing to use an unproven system can place your restorations at a high risk of less-than-ideal aesthetics, or damage.

This highly biocompatible material features a high degree of translucency which gives it a completely natural-looking appearance. The radio opacity is comparable to a natural tooth as well; when viewing an x-ray the zirconia blocks light much like the structure of a natural tooth does. Compared to dental restorations made from porous materials, Prettau® zirconia is non-abrasive to the surrounding natural teeth and will not chip due to its solid structure. Prettau® Anterior is particularly well-suited to restoring implants, and returning function to cases which have reduced available space or gingival reconstruction.

We exclusively use Zirkonzahn®'s materials and component machinery to maintain the renowned quality of our restorations. We stand behind all of our work and offer a 5-year warranty for all Zirkonzahn® restoration from SmileBay.

Cone-beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

Our premier 3D dental imaging system provides superb 2D panoramic images as well as 3D representations which complement each other to ensure accurate diagnoses. The CS cone beam CT uses dental 3-dimensional technology and confine a very narrow field of view to limit radiation dose and ensure safer exams.

Our CT scanner provides sharp and contrasted images with resolution up to 75 µm. The 3D images ensure precise 3D view of the teeth and proximity to other structures such as nerves and sinuses. We use this sophisticated images for treatment planning of wisdom tooth removal, dental implants and evaluation of root canal treatment.

The scans can also be easily saved for your reference or shared with your referring dentist.

introducing our latest addition, the Green 16 low radiation 4-in-1 digital X-Ray imaging system, which incorporates PANO, CEPH, CBCT and MODEL Scan. It provides high quality images with lower radiation by combining imaging processing and accumulated experience in dental imaging from VATECH. This will then improve diagnostic accuracy with increased treatment planning.

KaVo EXPERTsurg LUX Implant Surgical Unit

Winner of the German Design Award Special Mention 2015 in the category “Excellent Product Design – Industry, Materials and Health Care", we are proud to be able to utilise this unit in our practice for implant procedures. EXPERTsurg LUX surgical unit operates safely with high precision thanks to one of the world’s lightest and smallest surgical motors.

PIEZOSURGERY® Touch

The new PIEZOSURGERY® Touch has an exclusive glass touch screen, with an easy to handle user interface and features. Its new handpiece with rotatable LED lift ergonomics in bone surgery to a completely new level. Providing precision and safety in the highest quality to surgeons all around the world, this revolutionary technology has become the benchmark for all bone surgery devices.

PIEZOSURGERY® provides micrometric cuts for minimally invasive surgeries with maximum surgical precision and intra-operative tactile sensation. It also protects any kind of soft tissue hence nerves, vessels and membranes will not be injured while cutting bone, offering maximum safety for surgeons and patients.

AquaCare Single Dental Abrasion & Polishing Unit

The AquaCare can be used for:

• Preparation for pit and fissure sealants

• Removal of composites for restoration

• Cavity preparation

• Cleaning, polishing and stain removal

• Etching of enamel, metal and porcelain

The AquaCare cuts quickly but conservatively, minimising the removal of sound tooth material and eliminating the risk of chipping or stress fracturing. Unlike conventional rotary cutting instruments, the device is not in direct contact with the tooth structure. It is completely air driven with no electrical parts requiring less maintenance than electronic equipment. There are also no pumps and no leaking as the AquaCare works entirely with air pressure.
